Matthias is a Corporate Trainer, Coach, and Faculty working with corporate and not-for-profit teams as well as executives. He has more than 25 years of experience working internationally with a variety of industries, business schools, and institutions of higher education.
Matthias’ particular interest and expertise are in international organizations. His focus, whether the program is delivered indoors or outdoors, is on Organizational Development, cross-cultural management, communication, team development, and conflict resolution, by using a wide variety of tools for coaching individuals and teams; often integrated into Leadership Development Programs.
He has been faculty at Hult International Business School, teaching Leadership and Leadership Skills, in addition to working as Leadership Development Coach at the entrepreneurial Business Challenge. His special focus is on the impact of Psychological Safety on the effectiveness and well-being of teams. For over a decade now, he is involved in teaching Organizational Behavior at Harvard University Extension School. Since 2018, he has been a coach in the Executive Coaching Programs at Harvard Business School.
Matthias is program managing and facilitating with Outward Bound Professional, designing and delivering experiential programs for Fortune 500, Exec Ed and Graduate programs, working in North America and Europe and is the former Managing Director of Outward Bound Koenigsburg in the north of Germany. Matthias holds a Master’s degree in History from the Christian-Albrechts-Universitaet zu Kiel, Germany, a certificate in Adult Education from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany and he is a certified trainer in Communication Psychology from the University of Hamburg, Germany.
